TamburawaBridge Repair

The project ## Keeping Kano's main route open The bridge at Tamburawa village, about 15 km from Kano City in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area, carries the Kano–Kaduna expressway and much of the traffic in and out of the ancient city. It was originally built by Borini Prono Construction Company. Sand excavation by local operators had eroded the ground around the structure and was threatening its stability. The Federal Ministry of Works engaged Thane to repair the bridge and protect it against further erosion. ### What we delivered Thane mobilised plant and its own site crew to stabilise the eroded embankment and restore the bridge, keeping the expressway in service through the works. The project ran from 2023 and was handed over in 2024.
